New Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Review

Hey ladies! So I have been hearing a lot of chatter lately about the new baby skin instant pore eraser by Maybelline and how it can be compared to the POREfessional face primer by Benefit. Since I have been a fan of the baby lips and other Maybelline products, I decided to try it out.

This product is available at most drug stores and I purchased mine at Rite Aid for $6.99. In the product you recieve 20 ml or .67 fl oz.
The packaging is  cute and pretty similar to the baby lips packaging. The product claims to have blur technology to help you get pore-less smooth-looking skin.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the size of my pores, but I am always searching for primers that can make my face appear flawless and help my makeup apply more evenly and last throughout the day. I have combination oily skin and I sometimes find that certain primers enhance how oily my skin looks.

My first impression of the product is that it is fragrance free and feels really smooth on the back of my hand. The translucent silicone gel goes on really smooth, blends out really easily, and is not sticky at all.

After I washed and moisturized my face, I applied the primer to my t-zone where my face usually gets oily, so my forehead, my nose and around my nose.  On the packaging it said that you could use it alone for flawless looking skin but normally I don't wear primer unless I plan on wearing other makeup.
After I applied the primer, I applied my foundation, concealer, and bronzer.

As soon as I applied my foundation I could really tell the difference with the primer. It instantly made my makeup apply more evenly and even over some blemishes, it really helped my skin look smooth. I did notice it minimized the look of my pores, but like I said before the size of my pores have never really been an issue.

Since I wanted to test the product and see if it could make my face appear smooth and flawless, I decided to not use any setting powder so I could give it the true test.

I left my house at 1:00 p.m. and decided I would record how my makeup looked throughout the day.

4 p.m.: I checked in the mirror and noticed the top of my forehead was getting a little oily. I used a blotting sheet to deal with that, but other than that my makeup still remained looking smooth and flawless.

I checked my makeup again at 8 p.m., and it still looked good, my makeup looked as though I just applied it and I only had to use a blotting sheet that one time.

Overall I think this is a good product, especially for the price. I feel like it gave me a flawless finish and I still felt confident with how my makeup looked at the end of the day.

Would I repurchase it? Yes. I really like how this product made my makeup last and look flawless so I would definitely repurchase (especially since it is so inexpensive).
Rating: 5 out of 5 hearts

I would definitely like to hear how people with other skin types/ large pores liked this product. I would also enjoy any comments and any other recommendations for a good drug store primer!
